Walks and visits
For those who prefer to use their feet a bit before riding, we offer you a unique chance to get to know a lovely, varied natural landscape, and get closer to the simple people who work the land, on their small plantations. You can choose between a half or whole day's trek, with visits to various family-owned/farmed smallholdings, each with its own character.
You'll get an insight into how both conventional and ecological peasant farmers strive to make a living, and the circumstances they live in. Your guide is engaged in the local environmental association and has broad experience working with the region's people. During the walks you will learn about tropical fruit trees and crops.. You will also visit the environment school where the pupils re-use and recycle materials in their handcraft.

Experience with genuine handcraft
You can join the production of a basket made from lianas and a carpet made from dried banana leaves. Our friend Evaldo is a peasant farmer and craftsman, and will let you do some part of the basket.

Bird-watching
Another type of walk focuses on bird watching, waking up very early in the morning and spending much more time in the forest than on visits to smallholdings.

Trekking
For relatively fit walkers wanting to cover greater distances at a more constant pace, we offer longer treks where a certain amount of the walking is uphill, and at times steep.

Children's activities
For those of you traveling with children too young for horse-trekking or a half day walk, we can help take care of them (an extra charge is made for this service). We involve the children in activities on the farm: they will experience the organic plantation, play with the goats and hens, make simple local dishes in the kitchen, or join a workshop at the environment school, with a responsible adult.
